In accordance with the Chambers of Health Workers Act, the Chamber performs the following activities as public authorities:

Public authorities (vested affairs)

 

  • adopt the Code of Ethics;
  • register nurses and health technicians and keep the Chamber Register ;
  • issue, renew, suspend or revoke a license for independent professional practice ( hereinafter referred to as : license ) to the members of the Chamber and keep the register of issued , renewed and suspended or revoked licenses ;
  • mediate in disputes between the members of the Chamber, or between the members of the Chamber and patients/clients ;
  • establish Courts of Honour to determine the infringement of professional duty and responsibility of the members of the Chamber , and imposes disciplinary actions for those violations ;
  • keep the record of imposed disciplinary actions to the members of the Chamber;
  • issue copies of and extracts from the register and certificates, which shall be evidence of the matters certified . A record of the issued documentary evidence shall be kept.
  • determine the amount of the membership and registration fee , and the amount of reimbursement of expenses incurred in issuing and renewing a license, issuing certificates, and copies of or extracts from the register.
  • issue a membership ID card and ID number to all members of the Chamber, who have a license .
  • advocate and protect professional interests of the members in the exercise of their professional practice
  • give the initiative for better organisation of the probation period and imposture of vocational exam for nurses and medical and health technicians , as well as their vocational improvement

Vested authorities

 

•  participate in determining nomenclature of medical services and criteria for measures for signing of the Agreements about provision of medical services in connection to health insurance

•  give initiative for adopting regulations in the area of health protection and health insurance

•  give the initiative and implement the measures for insurance for the members of the Chamber at insurance carriers for risk which can be caused by vocational mistake in implementation of the assignments in health protection

•  provide professional help to citizens in implementation of the rights in health protection in case of un - ethical and inexpert work of the Chamber members

•  provide vocational help to members of the Chamber and advocate the interests of members of the Chamber who are working in private practice during the Agreement with health insurance institution

•  monitor and give initiative for implementing Law measures related to violation of the regulation of advertising in health protection

•  perform other duties defined by the Law and the Statute of the Chamber
